There is no &#8220;agreement&#8221; for the church to split, there is a new proposal that will go before General Conference in May. This new proposal called the Protocol of Reconciliation &amp; Grace Through Separation is one of many proposals that will be before the voting body in May.<\/p>\n<p>The reason this proposal is getting so much news is because it seems to have wide support from the various ad<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-54 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/pleasantvilleumc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/newletter-300x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pleasantvilleumc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/newletter-300x270.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pleasantvilleumc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/newletter.jpg 352w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 135px) 100vw, 135px\" \/>vocacy\/support groups in the church that come from all sides of our ongoing disagreement.
